Tajikistan's GDP in January was 5.1%

Almaty. March 5. Silkroadnews - "GDP growth in January was 5.1%, down 2% compared to the same period last year", - says the publication with reference to the press service of the Tajik state.
Tajik President Emomali Rahmon met with the Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Venkay Djang in Dushanbe. The sides discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation and support of socio-economic development of Tajikistan, in particular, it was decided to minimize the influence of external factors of crisis.
V.Djang stressed that ADB will continue to provide assistance in overcoming the possible external crises that could affect the national economy.
Over the years, ADB has provided $1.3 billion to Tajikistan as concessional loans, grants and technical assistance. Currently at the aomunt of $600 million realized projects in the fields of transport, energy and more.
The meeting also discussed a draft five-year strategy of cooperation between Tajikistan and ADB for 2016-2020 years.
The strategy aims to improve transport and communications, energy, food security, improving access to drinking water, as well as private sector development.
