Tajikistan's trade turnover with Europe dropped 50.3% over 8 months

Almaty. September 19. Silkroadnews – Tajikistan's trade turnover with Europe dropped 50.3% over 8 months, while with the countries of Asia grew 10%, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reports.

«For the first eight months of this year Tajikistan's total volume of trade turnover to European countries (non-CIS states) amounted to around $195 million, having dropped 50.3% versus the same period of 2015», the Agency on Statistics under the President of Tajikistan reported.

Since the beginning of the year Tajikistan had trade relations with 35 countries in Europe and 31 countries in Asia. The volume of trade with Asian countries (non-CIS states) amounted to more than $1 billion in January-August of this year and increased 10% compared to the same period of last year.

As for CIS countries, Tajikistan' trave volume declined 7.6% (over $1.2 billion).

A 2.2% decrease in January- August 2016 turnover have also been recorded in trade with the American states.
