Tajikistan stopped breakthrough of drug smugglers from Afghanistan; one border guard wounded

Almaty. January 19. Silkroadnews - Tajik border guard on January 18 thwarted attempt to break armed drug smugglers from Afghanistan at the Farhor section of the state border, reports the Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
In response to the boundary order to stop, intruders opened fire from machine guns. As a result, one Tajik border guard was wounded.
Then the perpetrators escaped by throwing a bag of hashish and a Kalashnikov rifle.
Representatives of the border troops, together with police are investigating the area.
