Tajikistan to close state budget deficit with loans and grants
Almaty. December 6. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan will close state budget deficit with loans and grants, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reports on Wednesday.
“Tajikistan’s budget gap for the next year is planned to be covered at the expense of revenues generated from privatization and use of state property, loans and grants of international financial organizations,” the republic’s finance department said.
The total deficit of the state budget for 2018 is set at 0.5% of the gross domestic product or more than 334.3 million somoni (around $38 million).
The forecasts say the revenues from privatization and use of state property is expected to achieve around 26 million somoni ($2.9 million). However, the key funds to cover the budget gap will be raised out of interests on the republican budget deposits, attraction of credits and grants of international financial organizations (more than 203.1 million somoni ($23 million) in total) and receipts from the treasury bills sale (over 95 million somoni ($10.7 million)).
According to the Ministry of Finance, the total amount of the state budget of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2018 is expected to reach more than 21 billion somoni ($2.3 billion). The state budget expenditures are planned to achieve more than 21.3 billion somoni ($2.4 billion).
