Tajikistan to implement 20 investment projects in the amount of $22 million in agricultural sector

Almaty. December 8. Silkroadnews – Within next three years agricultural sector of Tajikistan is going to implement 20 investment projects, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Thursday.

“About 20 investment projects are planned to be implemented in Tajikistan’s agricultural sector over the next three years; more than $22 million of investments are to be attracted for these purposes”, officials of Ministry of Finance inform.

It is also noted, the attraction of investment funds (loan and grant) will be carried out within the framework of the “Tajikistan’s program of government foreign borrowing for 2017-2019”.

The funds attracted will be directed to, in particular, projects for irrigation and development of new lands, development of livestock industry, gardening and others.

To remind, next year’s state budget allocates 583 million somoni ($74 million) to develop agriculture, fishing and hunting.
