Beijing. March 27. Silkroadnews - The Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reported, on Monday night, the Taliban militants undermined the power transmission lines delivering electricity imported from Uzbekistan to the capital of Afghanistan in the northern province of Baghlan.
According to Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), Afghanistan’s national power company, the sabotage attack occurred 22 kilometers from Pul-e Khomri.
The company’s officials said a technical team has already started working to manage the accident.
To remind, two days earlier Taliban militants threatened to cut power supply from Uzbekistan to the Afghan capital, demanding electricity to be provided to some areas of Baghlan. Last year, as a result of a similar attack in Dand-i-Shahabuddin area, the Afghan capital was cut off from power supplied by Uzbekistan for 40 days.
