Tehran opposes interference in the internal affairs of States - Iranian MFA

Almaty. August 18. Silkroadnews - Tehran opposes outside interference in the internal affairs of the countries of the region. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, reported the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
The head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry after a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow stressed that regional countries should consolidate their efforts to develop a unified approach in the fight against extremism and terrorism. However, he noted with satisfaction that Tehran and Moscow hold similar positions on this issue and insist on the resolution of existing conflicts in the region and problems through dialogue and political measures.
However, Iranian Foreign Minister said that during the talks with Sergei Lavrov they agreed to hold the next meeting of the Iranian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission this autumn. The parties also agreed to promote bilateral cooperation through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the two countries and to continue working together to simplify the visa regime between Russia and Iran.
Touching upon the Iranian-Russian cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, J.Zarif called Russia "a partner №1» in this area.
