The Chinese company plans to build a major oil refinery in Tajikistan
Almaty. October 10. Silkroadnews - The company intends to build China's largest oil refinery in Danghara Tajikistan, according to Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA).
"In Dushanbe Majlisi Oli (the lower house of parliament) has ratified an investment agreement between the Government of Tajikistan and the limited liability company for Investment and Development of "Heli" city of Dongying China for the construction and commissioning of the company for oil refining in the Free Economic Zone "Danghara" - informs the agency in the lower house of the country.
First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the country Lochin Fayzullozoda noted that the project will be implemented in two phases due to the direct investment of Chinese companies.
According to him, the project capacity of the first stage of the future plant will be up to 500 thousand tons of oil per year. In the second stage production capacity of the plant will be increased to more than 1.2 million tons.
The total investment for the first phase of the project will be in excess of $160 million, and for the second phase - more than $300 million.
As noted, this is the first investment project of "Heli" in Central Asia. The company has already signed agreements with partners in Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Russia on the supply of raw material for future factory.
