The CIS heads of the states have signed all the documents planned at the Bishkek summit

Almaty. September 19. Silkroadnews – The CIS heads of the states have signed all the documents planned at the Bishkek summit, KyrTAG reports.

As the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev noted, the summit has been preceded with a hard work and resulted in 16 documents signed by the Heads of the States.

Among the signed documents: statements by the heads of the CIS member states on the 25th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States, on further joint efforts to counter international terrorism, on the 70th anniversary of the Nuremberg Trials, on the global drug problem, on the Commonwealth's adaptation to modern realities, on the chairmanship in the CIS; on the CIS member states population censuses in 2020; on the Year of Family in the CIS countries in 2017, on the Year of Culture in 2018.

The presidents have also signed the documents: on interstate program «Commonwealth's Cultural Capitals» in Azerbaijan in 2017; on program of cooperation in combating terrorism and other manifestations of extremism for a period of 2017-2019; on protocol on the implementation of the agreement on defense of parties to criminal litigations on recovery of expenses linked with defense dated November 28, 2006.

Earlier it was reported, the CIS chairmanship has been transferred from Kyrgyzstan to the Russian Federation.
The summit was attended by President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip, Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan's Cabinet of Ministers Byashimmurad Hojamamedov, Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, the Ukrainian Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Nikolai Doroshenko.
