The construction of the Tajik section of the road Tajikistan-Turkmenistan-Afghanistan will begin in 2015

Almaty. February 9. Silkroadnews - Practical implementation of the Tajik section of a railway project Tajikistan-Turkmenistan-Afghanistan will begin in 2015, reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Monday.
According to preliminary calculations, the project will be implemented within 2 years from 2015 to 2017.
As noted, the project is designed to expand the transport and transit opportunities of RT, as well as contribute to the economic development of the southern regions of the country.
As previously reported, the route of the future railway Tajikistan-Turkmenistan-Afghanistan will be determined this year. In particular, Tajikistan must define this route with Turkmenistan. Tajikistan proposed to take the railway section totaling 161 km.
The next step will be to develop a feasibility study (FS) project, to which the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has allocated to Tajikistan $9 million.
