The CSTO countries intend to increase aid to Tajikistan in the fight against terrorism
Almaty. September 2. Silkroadnews - The countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will help Tajikistan to build strength to successfully confront attempts of terrorism, drug and other threats in the Central Asian region from Afghanistan. This was stated by Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Nikolai Bordyuzha, reports the Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
He stressed that the situation on the border with Afghanistan is extremely unfavorable, now large areas are controlled by the Taliban, while Afghan border activities requires a serious improvement. Hence, said Bordyuzha, we need to increase aid to Tajikistan.
In turn, Ambassador of Tajikistan in Russia Imomuddin Sattorov said that Dushanbe is doing everything possible to strengthen its borders with Afghanistan, and stressed that the CSTO in this regard has a strong support.
