Statement by the President in connection with reports on the imposition of the supreme court of the Canadian province of Ontario from October 14, 2014 about another arrest for shares of "Kyrgyzaltyn" company Centerra Gold Inc. published at the website of the head of the Kyrgyz Republic on Monday.

Atambayev noted with regret that subsequent attempts to achieve mutually beneficial consensus currently in force in the Canadian partners of the Kyrgyz Republic in the face of Centerra Gold also does not produce the desired result.
He stressed that the Kyrgyz Republic respects the principles of the judicial system, but the emerging trend poses the problem of the use of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic more effective mechanisms to protect the assets of Kyrgyzstan and prevent such threats in the future.
