The EU will allocate 30 million euros to Kyrgyzstan for the reforms in the social sector

Almaty. November 24. Silkroadnews - The EU will allocate 30 million euros to Kyrgyzstan on reforms in the social sector, reported KyrTAG.
According to the program "The contract for the reforms of the sector - social protection in the Kyrgyz Republic", the EU provides a grant to the Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of 30 million euros for the 2015-2017 years. Of this amount, 26 million euros will be allocated in three tranches to support the national budget of the country and 4 million euro - for technical assistancet in the implementation of the programs.
As explained in the Ministry of Social Development of Kyrgyzstan, EU assistance aims to improve the availability and quality of social services and the effectiveness of social assistance to the most vulnerable layers, in particular children; for the implementation of social reforms and reforms in the field of child protection; support for the state budget, as well as an increase in social assistance for the poor.
It also reported that the provision of technical assistance in the amount of 4 million euros was a prerequisite for the agreement. That assistance involves the monitoring, meetings, visits, seminars, publication of books and brochures from the European Union.
