The first Kazakhstani commerce house is opened in Kabul, Afghanistan

Almaty. March 31. Silkroadnews - The first Kazakhstani commerce house has been opened in the capital of Afghanistan Kabul, KazTAG reports with reference to the Foreign Trade Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan.

“Kazakhstan has opened the first-ever commerce house in Kabul to expand the trade issues with Afghanistan. The commerce house was opened with the assistance of Foreign Trade Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstani Embassy in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan,” the statement says.

According to Kazakhstani ambassador to Afghanistan Omirtay Bitimov, Kazakhstan is interested in expanding the trade ties with Afghanistan through various touchpoints.

“The commerce house opening will pave the way for both countries’ entrepreneurs to develop closer ties in trade, and we hope the government of Afghanistan will be able to achieve greater economic growth through the development of trade relations with the Republic of Kazakhstan. Afghanistan and Kazakhstan used to have long stand trade relations. Along with other countries Kazakhstan may become a good alternative for the import of food products,” he said.

According to the chairman of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan Meirbek Mazhitov, the opening of the commerce house would be a good start for the development of trade relations with Afghanistan.
“The domestic producers will be able to present their products at the largest trade pavilion “Afghanistan Expo Centre.” The representatives of the pavilion are ready to become the business partners of Kazakhstani producers at the local market. In addition to the individual stands in the pavilion our domestic producers can be provided with information on sales marketing peculiarities of market of Afghanistan, as well as new business contacts,” he emphasized.

As reported, according to the previous years’ results Kazakhstan has imported from Afghanistan $3 million worth goods and exported to the country goods for amount of $333 million - mostly flour and oil products.
