The foreign ministers of Tajikistan and China discussed prospects of cooperation in Beijing

Almaty. July 24. Silkroadnews - The foreign ministers of Tajikistan and China Sirodjiddin Aslov and Wang Yi in Beijing discussed the prospects of cooperation, reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Friday.
The sides noted issues of development of trade-economic cooperation, expansion of the legal framework and deepening cooperation in the field of transport, energy, education, culture and human resource development.
Ministers also exchanged views on important global and regional issues and reaffirmed their mutual desire to intensify mutual coordination in the framework of the UN, SCO and other key international and regional organizations. Particular attention was paid to the situation in Afghanistan.
It should be noted that China is one of the largest investor in Tajikistan. The total external debt of Tajikistan, which is $2.1 billion includes $911 million of Chinese investment. Last year, China pledged to invest in the Tajik economy $6 billion.
