The head of the anti-graft committee of China’s Ministry of Finance is suspected of corruption

Almaty. August 28. Silkroadnews – The head of the anti-graft committee of China’s Ministry of Finance is suspected graft, Russian information portal RBC reported.
Chinese authorities have launched an investigation on the head of the anti-graft committee of the Ministry of Finance Mo Jiancheng for suspected of “serious discipline breaches”, in China this expression is a euphemism for graft. On Sunday, August 27, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, which is the ruling Communist Party’s anti-corruption watchdog, reported on the beginning of investigation, the report said.
No details on investigation are reported so far. The publication says, Mo Jiancheng graduated from the Central Party School, department of “Economics and Management”, became the head of the anti-corruption committee for the finance ministry in December 2015.
It is also reported that in late July, the PRC authorities completed investigation of the anti-corruption case against another official, head of the occupational safety control department, who was judged as “deviated from the principles of the party” and abused his powers for enrichment, removed from the office and transferred to the “unofficial” position with a probation period of two years.
At the same time, the report notes, some cases end in prison terms: this January the court sentenced one of the former officials to life imprisonment for corruption, another former state official was sentenced to eight years in prison.
