Almaty. December 24. Silkroadnews - President Xi Jinping and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi agreed on a comprehensive strategic partnership, pass the Chinese media.

Joint decision of Heads of State on the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership represents an important milestone in the history of bilateral relations and will fully withdraw bilateral cooperation in various fields to a new, higher level.
Chinese President proposed to develop bilateral cooperation in areas such as infrastructure construction, nuclear power and new energy sources, as well as in the aerospace field. In addition, he declared his readiness to expand military exchanges with Egypt, deepen security cooperation and strengthen the joint fight against terrorism and cross-border crime.
Xi Jinping also said that China supports the right of the Egyptian people to choose their own path of development.
In turn, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi confirmed readiness to develop bilateral cooperation with China in all areas. He also expressed support for the initiative to establish the economic zone of the Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road.
