Almaty. 11 September. Silkroadnews - The International Energy Agency (IEA) raised its forecast for growth in world oil demand in 2015 and 2016. This is stated in the September report of the IEA, transmits Tass.
"The IEA raised its forecast of world oil demand in 2015 to 94.4 million barrels per day compared to 94.2 million barrels per day in the August forecast. Forecast for demand in 2016 is also increased by 200 thousand barrels - up to 95.8 million barrels per day", - said in a statement.
However, according to the IEA, oil production outside OPEC will fall in 2016 to the maximum of 24 years.
"The collapse in oil prices leads to the elimination of high input production from the Eagle Ford in Texas to Russia and the North Sea, which could lead to a reduction in oil production in 2016 by 500 thousand barrels per day - the maximum reduction in 24 years", - says the report of IEA.
