The IMF recommends to postpone the inclusion of the yuan in the SDR until September next year

Almaty. August 6. Silkroadnews - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) recommends to defer a decision on the inclusion of the yuan in the basket of Special Drawing Rights (SDR) to the end of September 2016, informed the newspaper "People's Daily".
The IMF said that the decision to grant the yuan reserve-currency status, requires an analysis of "a large number" of data.
The report states that IMF staff may use additional indicators to assess the yuan, for example, cross-border payments and letters of credit and other trade and financial performance. According to the report, in the sphere of financial and trade the yuan is in third place after the US dollar and the euro.
