The Japanese will create a synthesis reactor for production of synthetic fuel in Uzbekistan

Almaty. March 3. Silkroadnews - Japanese Hitachi Zosen Corporation will manufacture the synthesis reactor for production of synthetic fuels (the process of GTL - gas to liquid) in Kashkadarya region in southern Uzbekistan, reported UzTAG.  
«Hitachi will act as subcontractor for the manufacture to turnkey of basic technological level of plant - reactor Low Temperature Fischer-Tropsch (LTFT), designed for the synthesis of fuels from natural gas", - says the publication.
Thus the cost of the reactor is not specified. The first batch of equipment for the reactor can be supplied in the beginning of the summer, and in the middle of the year construction will enter into an active phase.
The plant, based at the Shurtan gas chemical complex will process 3.5 billion cubic meters of gas and produce 864 thousand tons of diesel fuel, 304 thousand tons of jet fuel, 395 thousand tons of naphtha and 11.2 thousand tons of liquefied gas per year.
Turnkey construction of the technological part of the plant will be provided by the Korean Hyundai Engineering & Construction. Completion of the plant is scheduled for August 2017.
Funding for the project worth $5.6 billion will be financed by own funds of the founders of JV Uzbekistan GTL, as well as loans from a consortium of banks in terms of project financing (up to 70% of the total). Currently the 44.5% of joint venture owned by national digging holding "Uzbekneftegaz" and the South African Sasol, 11% - Malaysian Petronas.
