The largest in Asia manganese ore deposit with reserves of 203 million tonnes was discovered in China

Almaty. April 10. Silkroadnews – The largest manganese ore deposit in Asia, with around 203 million tonnes reserves, was discovered in Guizhou province (South-West China), Chinese media reported.

The Pujie deposit lies in the mountain area of the Songtao Miao Autonomous County of Tongren City and was discovered by the Guizhou provincial geology and mineral exploration bureau.

The potential value of the discovered ore is estimated at more than 100 billion yuan ($14.5 billion).

As Chen Yuchuan, a geologist and academician with the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said, four large manganese ore deposits with a total reserve of 600 million tonnes have been discovered in the Guizhou province over the recent years.
