Almaty. December 28. Silkroadnews - UK Treasury has agreed to settle a debt of $3 billion, a debt of oil giant Shell to Iran, after the lifting of sanctions, reports Trend.
As Deputy Economy Minister Mohammad Hazei, Iran's entire debt to the International Monetary and Financial Institutions is less than the amount that Shell owes to Tehran.
Shell worked earlier in Iranian oil fields Soroush Nouruz and offshore in the Gulf, as well as on the 15th and 16th blocks of the largest gas field in Pars.
However, due to the imposition of sanctions in 2012, all the projects were stopped.
