The new field of oil and gas found in Kazakhstan

Almaty. January 24. Silkroadnews – Light oil and gas pools have been discovered at the Ansagan field in Atyrau region of the Republic of Kazakhstan found, KazTAG informs.

“The Ministry of Energy reports on discovery of light oil and gas reserves in the Devonian deposits of subsalt upheaval “Ansagan”. The deposit is located in Ansagan Zhylyoi district of Atyrau region, the discovered oil and gas bearing horizons are located relatively deeper compared to those ones of the Tengiz field”, press service of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan stated.

The production of high light oil yields at the Ansagan field, as reported, confirms the high resources potential of the subsalt deposits at the deeper layers within the area specified. It is planned to carry out estimation work on the Ansagan field and extended exploration drilling on the entire contract territory of Makast, Prorva, Glubokaya and other fiends evidenced by seismic data.

The geological allocation area is 1460.01 square kilometers.
