As noted earlier, on August 23 in its report WHO reported 2 615 infected and 1 427 victims of Ebola. It was noted that only in 2 days in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria, died 77 people.
WHO had previously requested for the fight against Ebola $100 million, declaring the outbreak as a threat to international health.

Case of infection with Ebola was reported in Hong Kong. A state of emergency due to illness was announced in Nigeria, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
