The Pakistani army continues shelling of border areas of Afghanistan
Almaty. August 6. Silkroadnews - Over the past two days, several counties of eastern Kunar province was subjected to rocket fire from Pakistani forces, according to Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
According to police, the cross-border attack began on Monday, at approximately 7:00 pm and lasted for 12 hours. The fire came under Dang and Marawara districts.
"Total in Kunar province during the last firing landed 63 rockets. Fortunately, none of the residents was injured", transmited Tolo TV channel.
Note that the last few years, fighting in the border areas remain a major cause of friction between two neighboring countries. This week, the Pakistani ambassador in Kabul, was noticed of several cases of inconsistent promote of Pakistan's army on Afghan territory. In turn, Pakistan has repeatedly sent notes to Afghan Foreign Ministry about the infiltration of militants from its territory.
