The Pentagon has sent 400 military training instructors for the Syrian opposition

Almaty. May 8. Silkroadnews - US Ministry of Defense intends this week to begin the program of military training of the Syrian opposition, informs the agency TASS.
"We are talking about the "moderate Syrian rebels".  We will train them in camps in Turkey and Jordan in order to better prepare for combat operations against the group "Islamic State". The first 400 US military instructors have arrived in both these countries",- says the publication.
Meanwhile, US officials understand that there is a risk that some of the trained fighters can turn their weapons against the regime of President Bashar Assad.
US plans to provide for trained troops weapons, trucks and walkie-talkies. The program intends to prepare about 5 thousand soldiers annually.
In turn, representatives of the Syrian opposition believe that Washington assist them not fast enough and in too small volumes. The head of the National Coalition of opposition and the revolutionary forces Khaled Khoja said that "support is too weak". He, in particular, accused the US for refusal to supply heavy weapons and air defenses.
In addition it is reported that US President Barack Obama extended for another year the sanctions regime imposed against the Syrian government.
