Almaty. April 9. Silkroadnews - The possibility of monetary union within the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) must be treated seriously and carefully. This opinion was expressed by a senior director of analytical group on the ratings of European countries with developing economies, Fitch Ratings, Paul Roukins, informs KazTAG.
"It will be interesting question - whether, this alliance (EAEC) will transfer to the monetary union. It will be something completely different, so this shall be very seriously and carefully considered" - said P. Roukins at the annual conference of Fitch in Kazakhstan on Thursday.
In turn, Director of the Research Department of JSC «Halyk Finance» Sabit Khakimzhanov believes that the process of integration into the EAEC will not stop at the level of integration of institutions and harmonization of legislation.
According to him, the whole Kazakhstan institutionally is slightly behind Russia.
"From the point of view of the needs and the depth of institutional development, which is the key, I think, in general, for economic development, in this sense, it's probably not the best way. We cannot simply pass decision-making processes to some supranational body", - added S. Khakimzhanov.
