The President of Kazakhstan urged the heads of Azerbaijan and Armenia to de-escalate the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh
Almaty. April 7. Silkroadnews - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has held a telephone conversation with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, the press service of the head of state reports.
“President of Kazakhstan urged both leaders to de-escalate the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and return to the resumption of peace talks in full compliance with the international law. The particular role in this process is given to the Minsk Group of the OSCE,” the statement published on the Akorda website says.
During conversations with the leaders of the two countries N. Nazarbayev expressed his condolences on the death of people and soldiers during the recent events in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict area.
Also the heads of the states discussed some issues of bilateral cooperation.
