The President of Tajikistan and the chief of general staff of China’s People’s Liberation Army discussed the military cooperation issues

Almaty. February 29. Silkroadnews - Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon and the Chief of General Staff of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Fang Fenghui discussed the military cooperation issues, the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) reported on Monday.
“The parties have discussed the prospects of Tajik-Chinese multilateral cooperation, in particular, issues of military and military-technical cooperation in terms of training of highly qualified military experts to the Tajik army, as well as the execution of previously reached agreements,” - the presidential press-service informs.
During the meeting the attention was also paid to the neighboring state’s participation to ensure the security border of Tajikistan with Afghanistan, discussed the three threats - terrorism, extremism and separatism – and issues of joint struggle against them.
According to the Tajik leader, the question of strengthening the military and military-technical cooperation between Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China as well as cooperation in the field of security are the important area of interaction between the two countries.
