The price of gasoline and diesel fuel in Kyrgyzstan increased by 20% compared to last year

Bishkek. September 3. Silkroadnews - In Kyrgyzstan, the price of gasoline and diesel fuel in average increased by 20% compared to last year, reports KyrTAG referring to the deputy director of the State Agency of antitrust regulation Keneshbay Taylakov.
"In January-August 2014 recorded an increase in fuel prices in the country. Compared to last year the price of gasoline and diesel fuel on average increased by 20%. We are trying to control the situation on the fuel market. We daily monitor data on fuel costs, and try to stop the facts of spike in fuel costs at gas stations",- said the representative of the antimonopoly body at a round table on Wednesday.
According to him, on the fuel market operates 20 active oil companies from 50 registered and 650 stations. 300 filling stations owned by Oil Traders Association. The main share of fuel sales accounted to "Gazprom Neft Asia" LLC.
"The increase in prices is associated with an increase of the wholesale price of manufacturing plants, fluctuations in exchange rates, the growth of world oil prices and quotations of the excise tax increase. On 15 May 2014 the excise tax on gasoline increased from 2.2 thousand soms to 3 thousand soms per ton, and diesel fuel from 200 to 400 soms", - he explained.
As noted by K. Tailakov, "Gazprom Neft Asia" restrains the growth of the retail price of fuel in the country since July 19 to date.
