Almaty. June 17. Silkroadnews - Despite statements of the Iranian officials for an immediate increase in the volume of oil exports after a possible lifting of sanctions against the country, some experts believe that the return of Iranian oil to the market will take a long time, reports Trend.
Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh has said that the country can deliver more than half a million barrels of oil a day to the markets a month after the lifting of sanctions, and this volume could reach one million barrels per day within six months.
A former administrator of the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) Guy Caruso, who is a senior adviser in the program of energy and national security in the analytical center of CSIS said that these figures do not seem plausible to him.
Meanwhile, earlier agency Reuters published information referring to several sources that Iran has accumulated from 38 million to 45 million barrels of oil tankers for export after the sanctions against Iran will be eliminated.
Gal Luft, co-director of the American Institute for the Analysis of Global Security told Trend, that Iranian supplies may affect the decline in prices for Brent crude oil in 2016.
