Tashkent. June 24. Silkroadnews - South Korean company, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) plans in 2015 to increase the purchase of natural uranium in Uzbekistan - from 300 tons to 500 tons annually, according UzTAG.
Parties have prepared a draft contract for the supply of uranium in the agreed amount, and the signing of firm contract can be held in August-September this year.
Earlier it was reported that in September 2012 the state enterprise "Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine" (NMMC), the only producer of uranium in Uzbekistan, and KHNP signed a basic agreement on export of Uzbek natural uranium up to 5 million tons in the period 2015-2024 years .
