The tenth part of the gold weighted bullion bars Kyrgyzstan purchases in Kazakhstan

Almaty. February 8. Silkroadnews – Kyrgyzstan purchases the tenth part of the gold weighted bullion bars from Kazakhstan, KyrTAG informs.

“A new investment tool - gold weighted bullion bars - is getting popular in Kyrgyzstan. More than 70% of the bars are produced in Kyrgyzstan. JSC “KyrgyzAltyn” produces the heaviest 100-gram bars. A lack of appropriate equipment prevents the manufacturer from producing bars of lower weight. One tenth of bars only is purchased from Kazakhstan”, the chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Tolkunbek Abdygulov said on Wednesday.

He specified, for today the National Bank has sold nearly 138 kg of gold bars, among which 15kg only had been brought from Kazakhstan.

“We negotiate with “Kyrgyzaltyn” to acquire the equipment necessary. When it happens we will be capable of producing 1-, 2-, 3-, 5- and 10-gram weight bars, as well as 1-ounce bar. From 2015, all the gold, except for Kumtor (the field - KazTAG) products are purchased by the National Bank. We use 100% of our right of priority in purchase of gold”, T. Abdygulov has noted.
