The US visas for Kazakhstani citizens to be extended from 5 to 10 years

Almaty. December 27. Silkroadnews – Visas’ validity term for Kazakhstani citizens traveling to the United States has been extended from 5 to 10 years, KazTAG reports.

“The good news is that at the end of the year we agreed with the US to extend the visas validity up to 10 years on both sides. Earlier the validity term was 5 years. Now, both Kazakhstani and US visas for the most popular categories, such as tourism, business and diplomatic visas will be issued for a longer period, which is a great convenience for the citizens of both countries”, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Idrisov said.

He also reminded about the new rules of registration of invitations and issuance of Kazakhstani visas for foreign and Kazakhstani citizens to come into force on January 1, 2017. Starting from the beginning of the new year citizens of 45 states, including OECD members, as well as the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Singapore and the Principality of Monaco, are to enjoy a visa-free entry to Kazakhstan for up to 30 days from the date of entry into the territory of our country.

The citizens of other 19 countries are exempt from visa requirements on the basis of the bilateral agreements signed with their states.
