The Uzbek Center of earthquake simulation is suggested to be used in Kazakhstan
Almaty. September 1. Silkroadnews – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Yerik Utembayev met with Minister of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan Tursinkhon Khudaibergenov, press service of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
«T. Khudaibergenov suggested to use the center for the earthquake simulation under the Institute for Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, created with the humanitarian aid by the Japanese side», the Foreign Ministry informed.
The Minister has also noted the Uzbek side's readiness to take part in Kazakhstani specialists training and retraining, paid a particular attention to the ongoing projects focused on improving the quality of emergency response, natural disasters and man-made disasters, including the organization of work with children and youth; and told about the work of voluntary squads of security in cases of emergency.
In his turn Y. Utembayev proposed to strengthen joint research and development and to establish a regular exchange of experience in combating and protection of the population against the consequences of natural disasters such as mountain landslides and mudflows, forest and grassland fires, earthquakes.
When discussing the results of the execution of the Plan of measures for cooperation between the Ministries of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in 2014 - 2015, the parties agreed to exchange operational proposals for the new Action Plan on cooperation.
Y. Utembayev stressed that one of the important parts of the new Plan of cooperation should be the interaction between the border areas of two states. The sides agreed to intensify further collaboration in all areas of conflict emergencies of natural and technogenic character.
