Almaty. January 23. Silkroadnews - The Government of Uzbekistan on Friday during a joint meeting of both chambers of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic gave its powers to the newly elected parliament, told KazTAG representative of parliament.
"The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shovkat Mirzijaev applied to the Oliy Majlis the resignation of the cabinet to the newly elected parliament", - said the correspondent KazTAG.
Oliy Majlis granted the request and asked the government to fulfill the mandate to elect a new government. During the joint meeting of the new parliament will be considered the candidacy of a new prime minister. The candidature of the Prime Minister shall be deemed approved if it is filed for more than half of the total number of votes, respectively Legislative Chamber and the Senate. Members of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall be approved by the president on the proposal of the Prime Minister.
