Three more airports to be built in Tibet

Beijing. June 12. Silkroadnews - Tibet plans to build three new airports for tourism development and economic growth, Tibet Online reports.
According to information of the regional government and the civil aviation administration of China, the airports are planned to be built in Shannan, Xigaze and Ali.
Construction of three airports located at an altitude of more than 3900 meters above sea level, should begin in 2019.
Reportedly, Capital Airport Holding Company will be in charge of construction of the airport in Shannan, the Shanghai Airport Authority - for the airport in Xigaze, and the West Airport Group - for the airport in Ali.
Three companies plan to transfer the airports to local operators after one or two years of operation.
