Almaty. May 19. Silkroadnews – To remove Kyrgyz airline from the ICAO “black list” it is necessary to solve the industry’s major problems, Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, President of the ICAO Council, stated, KyrTAG writes.
“Kyrgyzstan is not the only state having difficulties with prohibition of flights to the EU countries, other developing countries run into problems as well. The government of Kyrgyzstan, the state’s aviation authorities should solve the industry’s major problems, in particular the organizational, financial and legislative ones”, Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu said at the table “Importance of air transport for the economy of Kyrgyzstan” on Friday.
He noted, the ICAO pays a special attention to develop aviation in the countries of Central Asia, and, in particular, in Kyrgyzstan.
“Aviation contributes to a significant increase in the GDP of the states. Within the next 15 years we should try to carry out more than 200 thousand flights a day with the basic flow from the countries with a growing economy, including Kyrgyzstan”, the president of the ICAO Council.
KyrTAG reminds, all 13 air carriers registered in Kyrgyzstan still remain on ICAO’s “black list” and cannot enter the EU airspace.
