Tourist motor ship to be launched at Issyk-Kul

Almaty. July 26. Silkroadnews - The Issyk-Kul's shipping company of Balykchi will launch a motor ship for tourists, reports the KyrTAG news agency.
"We have 2 cargo motor ships and 4 cargo barges. We mainly operate the cargo transportations. Taking in account the fact that the freights are limited, we operate one motorboat and two cargo barges, it depends on the freight volume," said Taalay Mukashev, director of the industrial union.
He said the passenger motor ships which belonged to the company were sold in private hands before 2010. "They are operating now giving services for tourists at the Issyk-Kul lake," he added.
"Taking in account that a motor ship is staying idle in the summer time we have decided to reconstruct it into a passenger ship. It can carry 40 people. We are conducting repair works. If we finish reconstruction in the near future we will launch it in August. It will bring additional profit to the company and we will be able to pay the salary to the employees on time," he said.
