Trade between Kazakhstan and CIS reaches USD 33 bln in 2013

Astana. May 19. Silkroadnews – Trade between Kazakhstan and other Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries reached USD 33 bln in 2013, as the Acting Head of Foreign Trade Development Department in the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning, Aliya Alimbetova, informs.
Kazakhstan’s trade reached around USD 132 bln in 2013.
“Countries of the European Union traditionally remain main trade partners. 41% of all Kazakhstan’s trade can be attributed to EU, 17.9% to Russia, 17% to China, the rest – to Switzerland, Ukraine and other countries”, the Ministry’s representative added.
