Trade between Tajikistan and the United States in the I quarter increased by 19.6%

Almaty. April 20. Silkroadnews - Trade turnover between Tajikistan and the United States in the I quarter increased by 19.6% to $ 5.6 million, reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
At the discussion in Dushanbe, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Negmatullo Hikmatullozody with US Ambassador to Tajikistan Susan Elliott, noted the growing pace of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Thus, in the first quarter of 2015 the trade turnover between Tajikistan and the United States totaled more than $5.6 million, which is 19.6% more than the same period in 2014. Basically, Tajikistan is importing goods from the USA
In addition, the sides discussed the socio-economic situation in Tajikistan, the issues of macroeconomic stability and economic reforms.
Also discussed issues concerning the process of harmonization and implementation of regional significance, increasing the country's export potential, activities of US companies in the Republic of Tajikistan, investment, migration and employment.
