Trade turnover between Russia and China exceeded $38 billion for six months
Almaty. September 6. Silkroadnews – Trade turnover between Russia and China exceeded $38 billion for six months, Russian news agency TASS reported.
“Russia’s trade turnover with China exceeded $38 bln in first six months of 2017, this is China’s best results compared with other trade partners. China’s trade with Russia demonstrated the best recovery dynamics compared with other main international partners, including the EU, ASEAN, USA, Japan and the Republic of Korea”, the report said.
The day before, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin discussed with the Vice-Premier of China’s State Council Wang Yang cooperation in the fields of nuclear industry, space, agriculture, aircraft construction, the Arctic development and interaction in the field of digital economy.
In his turn, Wang Yang also stated that the trade turnover between the countries continues to increase.
“China firmly ranks the first among Russia’s trade partners. Bilateral investment cooperation and cooperation in the area of cross-border infrastructure facilities construction is steadily developing”, he said.
According to the agency, Wang Yang pointed to positive developments in realization of projects on development of a wide-body long-haul aircraft, liquefied natural gas, infrastructure development. Among the tasks for the near future, Wang Yang outlined implementation of the agreements reached on the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, as well as the preparation of the November meeting of the heads of two states’ governments.
