Train with bagged grain has left from Kazakhstan to the Chinese Xi’an

Almaty. February 14. Silkroadnews – Container train with bagged grain departed from the Tonkeris station of Akmola branch of railway to Xi’an (China), press service of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy informs.
“The train consists of one hundred 20-foot containers. Empty containers were delivered to grain storage and loaded with grain weighing 1800 tonnes to assemble a full-length train”, the statement says.
Kazakhstan has traditionally been an exporter of the grain. Such projects using the multi-modal solutions and highly developed terminal infrastructure allow raising the grain export volume to China, other neighboring countries and far abroad.
