Turkey gives Kyrgyzstan priority, as cooperation in areas of economy and education concerned

Ankara. May 29. Silkroadnews – Turkey gives priority to Kyrgyzstan over other Central Asian States. Particularly when it comes to cooperation in the areas of economy and education. This was reported by the head of External Relations and Partnerships Department of Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency, Mehmet Bey Yilmaz at the meeting with Kyrgyz Mass Media representatives in Ankara.
“We see Kyrgyzstan as a priority among other Central Asian countries. Statistically speaking, it is Kyrgyzstan that is responsible for the highest volume of cooperation with Turkey compared to other Central Asian Countries”, Turkish public servant said.
Turkey provided USD 130 mln in aid for charity projects in 2013. 10% of that money were provided by the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency. For example, it has donated USD 7 mln for construction of a hospital in Bishkek.
