Turkey will build its first spaceport

Almaty. March 4. Silkroadnews - «Spaceport and the Institute for Space Research will be built on the territory of one of the central provinces of Turkey", - said the Minister of Transport, Shipping and Communications of Turkey Lutfi Elvan.
Construction of the spaceport and the institute is one of the priorities of Turkey, he said.
It is planned that after the construction of the spaceport, Turkey will run  from there domestic satellites, as well as launch the complexes for rent.
It is noted that all Turkish satellites were launched into space from the Baikonur in Kazakhstan and the Chinese base "Zhiuguan".
First Turkish spy satellite RASAT was launched in 2011. On December 18, 2012 from the Chinese base "Zhiuguan" was launched the second Turkish satellite Göktürk-2, which is currently used for defense purposes.
In 2019 the country plans to launch a satellite Türksat-3A.
