Turkmenistan and China discussed the consolidation of efforts in the transit-transport sector

Almaty. April 23. Silkroadnews - Lanchzhou Gansu Province of China hosted a forum "The Turkmen-Chinese dialogue: transport cooperation for sustainable development", reported Trend.
"The forum discussed the consolidation of efforts in the transit-transport sector, significant role of improving border management and security, legal aspects. Discussions and presentations allowed participants to familiarize themselves with the proposals for the diversification of transport links between Turkmenistan and China", - says the publication.
In addition, the parties discussed the development of cultural and economic relations in the framework of the "New Silk Road", considered the railway version of the route from China to Turkmenistan, as well as the Chinese experience in building high-speed rails.
At the same time, discussed the expansion of cooperation in the transport sector in view of Turkmenistan's large-scale projects. On the basis of Turkmenistan at the crossroads of major trade routes of the continent "North-South" and "East-West" - an international transit and transport hub, designed and laid railways and highways, being built and upgraded air and sea harbor. As noted, the transit through the territory of Turkmenistan is interesting for Chinese partners and for transport of their goods to Europe.
According to the information, in the forum participated senior officials of the provincial government, officials of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in China, Turkmen experts in the field of transport, the specialists of the University, members of the media.
