Turkmenistan launched a gas pipeline "East-West" worth $2.5 billion
Almaty. December 23. Silkroadnews - Turkmenistan has commissioned a gas pipeline "East-West" with the length of 773 km, reports Deutsche Welle referring to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
According to him, now "working together with European partners acquires a qualitatively new content".
As noted Berdymukhamedov, the commissioning of the gas pipeline "East-West" creates new opportunities for substantive cooperation with the Caspian countries on the construction of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline.
Construction of the pipeline costs $ 2.5 billion, its capacity is 30 billion cubic meters of gas per year. According to it, natural gas can be pumped out from the largest deposits of "Galkinish" and "Dowletabat" in the east to the coast of the Caspian Sea, or on another pipeline to China.
