Turkmenistan plans to increase oil supplies to China

Almaty. April 26. Silkroadnews – The boosting compressor station construction is carried out at the Malay gas field in Turkmenistan with a design capacity of 30 billion cubic meters of gas per year that shall allow increasing the supply of fuel to China, Trend reports.

The report noted that the arrangement of the object at the Malay gas field with over 600 square meters’ area is conducted by the state concern “Turkmennebitgazgurlushyk” (“Turkmenneftegazstroy”).

The station is designed to improve the technical and economic performance of the main gas pipeline initial section. It shall serve for gas pumping purposes, thus, shall simplify the gas supply and transport, increase the rate of selection and production levels under field’s reduced pressure.

As the publication notes, the field also contributes to supply to the interstate gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to China put into operation in 2009.

According to the agreement signed between the state concern “Turkmengaz” and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), by the end of 2021 Turkmenistan shall supply China with 65 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
