Two banks of Uzbekistan artificially inflated the price of plastic cards for the purchasers of cars from Almaty

Almaty. February 12. Silkroadnews - State Committee of Uzbekistan on privatization, de-monopolization and development of competition conducted a research on services market for the production and maintenance of plastic cards to purchase vehicles by US dollars, reported the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG).
"During the monitoring, it  turned out that a monopolists in this area - "Asaka" and "Capital Bank" charge customers by $30 for opening a local plastic card. During the study of the validity of this tariffs, it was established that the application of the above tarriffs is monopolistically high",- said the press service of the State Antimonopoly Committee.
As a result, court opened a case and issued an order prohibiting further use of monopolistically high prices. Now the rate is reduced to $20.
