Two cargo ships collided near province of Fujian in China

Almaty. August 21. Silkroadnews – Two cargo ships collided near the Chinese province of Fujian, three people killed and six missing, the specialized Malaysian Internet portal Splash 24/7 wrote.
“General cargo ships Xin Dong Yuan and An Da Sheng collided near Pingtan, Fujian in China on Saturday. The incident led to the sinking of Xin Dong Yuan sending all 13 crew members onboard the vessel into the water”, the report said on Monday.
Fujian Maritime Rescue Center sent rescue vessels and helicopters to the crash site, and also coordinated nearby vessels for search and rescue operations. According to the publication, four crew members have been rescued, three were found dead and another six remain missing.
In addition, the Fujian Maritime Rescue Center also deployed an oil spill response team.
